Feline Friday - Jetson!

Meet Jetson!  Jetson is jet black, except for a little bit of white fur on his chest.  He is approximately 4 1/2 years old and front paw declawed.

He is a big ol’ sweetheart!  He is laid back, friendly and affectionate!  He loves to sit on a lap and soak up the love.

He has been known to sit up and beg and he is very inquisitive.  Most every day he tries to climb into the cupboards over the sink and counter.  And most every day he succeeds!

Jetson is a fine cat!  He loves people and loves to follow them.  He especially likes coming and going through opening doors.   He gets along with other cats and never acts aggressively.  He also gets along with dogs.

His previous owner had him since he was 4 weeks old and was sad to have to give him up.  The owner had lost his/her job and moved in with someone who was allergic to cats.

Jetson is healthy!  He has had all of the tests and vaccinations that he needs.  He has been neutered, too.  At StreetCats we also micro-chip our cats.  When adopted the new owner’s contact information will be added to the chip.  In case he is lost, and then found, he can be taken to any vet or animal rescue association and be scanned for the chip.  You will then be contacted and your kitty will be returned!  The first year’s registration will be paid by StreetCats, too!

If you are interested in meeting Jetson, please, come by StreetCats at 6520 E. 60th St, in Tulsa, 10:30 - 5:00 Tuesday though Saturday, or call our message line, 918-298-0104 with any questions that you may have.  We would love to show you around StreetCats and introduce you to Jetson and I know he would love to meet you, too!

Feline (and Human) Fun

King Adam here.  I am going to write this blog, but before I do I need to vent.  This blog was my idea . . . MINE!  I wanted to show you every single cat toy we have for sale in our shop.  That's exactly what I was going to do, one toy, bed or brush at a time.  Well, because I was so excited about MY idea, I guess the humans figured out what I was doing.  No, I KNOW they figured it out because the next thing I knew they had grabbed a camera and away they went.  They are such buttinskies!!

And before I knew it they were playing dress up!  I'm not kidding!  They put on Laurel Burch shirts and scarves and even opened a Laurel Burch umbrella?
That's Linda Duckworth and she plays with the things in the shop more than anyone else, but she wasn't the only one who was in on this takeover of MY idea!  She has a Laurel Burch purse on her shoulder, too, but since you can't really see it, they took a picture of just all the purses.  Yawn!  Boring!!
And do you see what's on top of all the purses?  A Laurel Burch hat!  No doubt these humans are out of control!  I could not wrest control from them!  They're maniacs!  They went around the shop taking pictures of all the human toys!
STOP!!!!

Well, finally I yelled (in meow form) loud enough that they agreed to show some cat toys.  But when you look at these pictures notice that the humans couldn't even really stay out of them!!  I bet that reflection is not an accident!  And human enthusiasm diminished, I think, when they were looking at cat toys!  Hmmm!

Okay, I have an idea.  I know everyone reading this blog loves their kitties and would like to see every single cat toy here, AS I HAD PLANNED!  So . . . just come to our shop and see for yourself!  You can find us at 6520 E. 60th St., right behind Charlie's Chicken.     Or here's another idea!  Come to Affair of the Heart at the Fairgrounds on July 15, 16 or 17!  Gosh, come all three days!  We'll be there and you can see all the toys then!  They'll no doubt bring the human toys, too.  That's just the way they are!  Feel free to ignore those!

Feline Friday - Antonio and Angelo!

Meet Antonio and Angelo!

They are both tabbies and they look very much alike. They are in fact brothers.  Their birthday is coming up in July and soon they will become 1 year olds!

Telling them apart is quite a trick, but I did find some ways!

They really do look a lot a like, but with close study I found that there are subtle differences.  For instance Antonio is a little darker with a little bit more black in his coat.  He also has, on each side of his nose, 1 dot.  That’s right only 1 dot.

Angelo, on the other hand is a little lighter with more brown in his coat.  He also has nose dots, only he has 3 dots on each side of his nose.  Also he has the most defined "M" on his forehead!

These two kitties could not be any sweeter than they are now.  They are people friendly, and dog and cat friendly.  We don’t, however, know how they are with children.  These kitties do love their play time, but in general they are laid back, calm, and affectionate.  We, at StreetCats, all love them!  They are pure delight in fur coats!

Antonio and Angelo were raised together and are very bonded to one another.  Because of this we want them to be adopted together.  Here Antonio is grooming Angelo after a session of wrestling.

Both kitties are healthy!  They’ve been examined by a vet, tested, vaccinated and neutered.  They have also been micro-chipped!  When they go to their forever home we will put the new owners’ name and contact information on it.  The microchips are the best way to get your precious family pets home to safety once they've been lost.  If found they can be taken to any vet or animal rescue organization to be scanned for the chip. When identified the owners will be contacted.  StreetCats will also pay for their first year of registration with the Home Again program.
