Feline Friday - Mama!

Mama is a beautiful calico kitty!  She got her name when she showed up at her rescuer’s door expecting a litter of kittens.  Unfortunately her rescuer was not able to keep her, but we were able to bring her into StreetCats after she raised her kittens.

She is estimated to be almost 6 years old and as you can see by the way she is working over the scratching post of the cat tree that she has not been declawed.

Mama is friendly, but still rather independent.  She likes attention, and petting for the most part, and she's happy to be a lap cat, but only when it’s her idea.

She appears to know her name and will at times come to it.  Her favorite part of the day is in the morning when we serve a little canned cat food to all of the kitties.  She is always first in line when the bowls are being handed out.  Her second favorite time is in the afternoon when treats are served.  No encouragement needed there to get her to come out of her little house.

She is laid back and gets along with the other cats.

Mama is healthy!  She has been spayed, has had all the right tests and has been given her shots. She is also micro-chipped and when she is adopted the new owner’s contact information will be added to it. StreetCats will also pay for her first year’s registration fee with Home Again.

If you are interested in meeting Mama, feel free to come by StreetCats at 6520 E. 60th St, in Tulsa, 10:30 - 5:00 Tuesday though Saturday, or call our message line, 918-298-0104 with any questions that you may have.  We would love to show you around and introduce you to Mama and I’m sure that she would love to meet you, too!
