Feline Friday - Summer Adoptions!

I decided for this week's Feline Friday blog entry to show some of the kitties who were adopted in recent months!

This is Bodie!  I'm not sure how I got this ecu, (extreme close-up), but here he is in all of his handsome glory!

This is Gypsy!  Most of you didn't have a chance to meet her.  She came in on a Monday, when we are closed, and was adopted the next day right after we opened. Although you can't tell it by the photo, she is a very young and playful cat!

This is Kit Kit.  She was a bit shy, but the right person found her, loved her, and took her to her forever home!

Sweetie was a wonderful tabby cat to have in the shop.  Sweetie was with us, at StreetCats, for a very short time.  He was so "sweet" that he was adopted right away!

Tortie Mae was one of our favorites, especially with volunteer, Judy Lloyd, who fostered her.  We are so happy that she went to a good home!

And the gorgeous Scarlett was adopted this summer, too!  We really enjoyed her while she waited at StreetCats to be adopted.  Her beauty was only matched by her very, very, good nature!

These were just a few of our recently adopted kitties.  I hope you enjoyed seeing them for the first time, or revisiting them through these photographs, in this week's Feline Friday!

Recent Adoptions!

Hi!  I want to show you all some photographs of our kitties who have been adopted in recent weeks!

This is Glori, a very sweet and fun kitty to have at the shop.

This is Tillie!  She was quite talkative at StreetCats and boy-oh-boy what a voice she has!

Smokey went  home last week and we are all so happy for her!

And Patches went home today!

We really enjoyed Frankie the short time that he was with us! He is just about the sweetest and softest kitty that I've ever met!

We love all of our kitties at StreetCats and we're so excited when they find a home particularly when it's a kitty that has gone through a tough time.  Some come into the shop raring to go, but others not so much.  For them it may take a little time or a lot. But, it seems to me, that when trust is built, and their personalities come out, that's when they'll meet someone and melt their heart.

Please stop by the shop anytime Mon. - Sat. from 10:30 til 5:00 and meet the kitties!

Socialization is very important to them and your visits are welcome and appreciated!

Feline Friday - Frankie

Say "Hello" to Frankie!  I was so happy to meet this kitty!  Frankie came to StreetCats just 2 days ago and everyone that has met him loves him!  You have probably noticed his beautiful eyes and luxurious coat.  He seems to be part Siamese and part Tabby.

Frankie is about a year old and is very friendly.  He has already made friends with all of the volunteers that he has met and also has attempted to make friends with many of the cats in the shop.  At least that is our interpretation of his sniffing noses with other cats.   Wally isn't quite ready to be friends, but I bet he comes around soon enough.

Frankie is definitely good with other cats.  He is also good with children and perhaps gentle dogs.  His foster mom introduced him to a dog and he didn't get scared or excited with that particular dog.   He loves to play and is also very intelligent, in my opinion, because he knows his name!

Here is a photograph of him taking a break from all of our photography session a.k.a. playing.

Frankie was rescued by Patti, one of our volunteers at StreetCats.  She has grown very close to Frankie as she has spent the past 6 months fostering him in her home.  She describes him as having "a sweet little soul".   He is a laid back kitty and a lapcat as well.  When he arrived at Streetcats he immediately was interested in the cat rooms and the other cats at the shop, but wasn't upset about anything.

Frankie is very healthy physically and mentally!  He has had all of his tests, treatments and shots as well as having been neutered.  You can see by the yellow tag on his collar that he has been microchipped.  When he is adopted the new owners' information will be put on the chip.  If he gets lost he can easily be returned to his owners should he be found by someone who has him checked for the microchip at a vet or a rescue organization.  The first year's registration for this great program is paid by StreetCats upon adoption.

If you are interested in meeting Frankie, feel free to come by StreetCats at 6520 E. 60th St, in Tulsa, 10:30 - 5:00 Tuesday though Saturday, or call our message line, 918-298-0104 with any questions that you may have.  We would love to show you around and introduce you to Frankie  and I’m sure that he would love to meet you, too!

Feline Friday Flashbacks!

I went back to 2013 to find some more of our furry friends who have gone on to their forever homes.

This is Daphne from May 31, 2013.  I thought that she was the most gorgeous orange  tabby that I had ever seen!

This is Gabe, our good friend Connie Hutchinson's kitty.  This was taken on May 31, 2013.

Does anyone remember Lovey?  I do!  I think her name was fitting for her personality.  This was from July 30, 2013

And here is our Lulu.  Former blogger and queen of the office!  Lulu did like her meals!  September 10, 2013.

Please feel free to leave your comments about your memories of these kitties or to request a picture of one of your favorites.  I have a lot of pictures and I may just have the ones that you want.

If you are new to our blog please check back with us frequently to see some of kitties that we have currently available in our shop.
