Feline Friday - Romeo!

Meet Romeo! He is a 9 month old golden brown ticked tabby.  He has 3 white socks and 1 boot.  He hasn't been at StreetCats for very long and I suspect that he will be adopted quickly because he is such a sweetheart!

Romeo is very friendly and playful.  His foster mom said that he loves to play hide and seek, chase anything on a string, and then, when he is all tuckered out, he will sit on your lap to be petted and adored.

He found his foster mom, one of StreetCats' volunteers, this past Halloween. His foster mom said that he came running across a field, crossed a busy street, and then ran right up her driveway to her.  He did this amid many costumed trick-or-treaters and a yard full of Halloween blow up decorations on the lawn!  She said that he was very brave!

The romantic little Romeo, being a little shy and new to StreetCats, has kept to himself.  After he begins to feel more at home we'll see whether or not he will get along well with the other cats.  His foster mom said that he's not sure whether or not he likes dogs.  He may do fine with children, but has been known to give a little warning bite when he is through playing or is being loved on too much.

Romeo is a healthy kitty!  He has been examined by a veterinarian, has been given all of the tests needed for a cat and has received all of the vaccinations that he needs.  He has also been neutered and micro-chipped!  His chip will be registered with Home Again and his new owner's contact information will be added to it.  Micro-chipping is a great way to have your pet returned to you if he/she is ever lost.

If you are interested in meeting Romeo feel free to come by StreetCats at 6520 E. 60th St., in Tulsa, 10:30a.m. to 5:00p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, or call our message line, 918-298-0104, with any questions that you may have.  We would love to show you around and introduce you to Romeo, and I'm sure that he would love to meet you, too!
